Horsemanship Camps
At Showcase Stables, Inc.
we believe that by
combining riding with smart horsemanship we provide a safer and more
enjoyable approach to learning about the horse. Our goal for campers is to
encourage appreciation for the horse from the ground, as well as when
riding. In order to ensure that all campers have a great time we offer
separate weeks for
Young Riders, Horsemanship,
Competition, and Advanced Competition. This allows the campers
to learn with others who share the same amount of experience and leaves no
one feeling behind.
Our first goal is to provide a safe learning
environment for all of our campers. Our instructors are experienced
horsemen with years of experience in the show ring and lesson arena. Some
of our National level riders assist as counselors, which enables them to
share their knowledge with the campers. Our entire staff uses high safety
standards and we strive for a camper to instructor/counselor ratio of five to one.
(Please note there is a smaller ratio of four to one for the Young Rider
Camp.) Showcase Stables, Inc. provides and requires all campers wear a
certified safety helmets while riding and driving the horses.
Along with qualified instructors and counselors
Showcase Stables, Inc. has an equine staff of seasoned veterans with years
of show ring and lesson experience. All of our horses were selected because
of their pleasant and willing attitudes. These special animals exhibit
endless patience as many campers learn through trial and error to become
accomplished riders.

Camp Activities
Young Riders Camp is designed
specially for the little ones to have the fun opportunity to learn about
horses, as well as get a private riding lesson and learn how to drive a
horse. These camp sessions tend to fill up fast so don't delay. For
ages 4-6
Horsemanship
Camp is where campers enjoy a daily group riding
lesson as well as
working towards a Fitting and Showing horse show held Friday afternoon.
Daily activities are based around learning skills that will be demonstrated
on show day and also include other activities that involve learning about
horses. Best of all, family and friends are invited to the show to watch
the campers show off their new skills! No experience is needed
for this camp, however our counselors will adjust the curriculum for
returning campers from previous years. For ages 7-12
Competition and Advanced Competition Camp
is for campers who have been taking continuous riding lessons for at
least 6 months and are ready to compete at tournament level.
Competition Camp is for riders ages 7-14 who are
walking and trot off the lunge line while Advanced Competition Camp is
strictly for those who can walk, trot and canter off the line, for ages
11-16.
